Check it out! My poem “The Muse” has just appeared in the January 2019 issue of Bloodbond: A Digest of the Dark Side, Vampires, Werewolves, & Shapeshifters!

Unfortunately, this issue is the last of Bloodbond, but publisher Alban Lake Publishing is beginning a new publication, parABnormal, for “all things spooky, strange, sci-fi, and weird that is beyond the imagination from aliens, to vampires, to unicorns that breathe fire and devour innocent maidens.” Yes, please!

In other news, I am hard at work on my YA novel about shapeshifters in Renaissance Italy…I’m almost finished with my second draft, in which I expanded my book by more than half. (Like pumping up a bike tire into a dinghy! Here’s hoping she floats…) Next step: Submit to my agent and critique partners for feedback, take a little break, and prepare for Draft #3.

Oh, and celebrate Carnival! It’s almost Mardi Gras: laissez le bon temps rouler!
